The Other Palace is incredibly honoured to announce the second The Other Masterclass, ‘Acting Through Song’ hosted by Fra Fee (The Ferryman (Royal Court & West End), As You Like It (National Theatre), Candide (Menier Chocolate Factory), Les Miserables (West End & film) and winner of the 2018 What’s On Stage Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Play.
The Other Masterclass series pairs an established West End professional with a class of performing arts students to mentor and nurture the next generation of musical theatre performers.
Each West End mentor leads a workshop with a different drama school providing feedback and their wealth of experience to each and every student who performs. From that class, a handful of the students are invited to continue developing their performance technique with the mentor in an interactive and live masterclass in front of an audience at The Other Palace.
The second The Other Masterclass features students from The BRIT School and focuses on ‘Acting Through Song’ with Fra Fee. Fra will practically apply his approach to performance onstage including connection through text, honest storytelling and how to convey truthful and believable performances.
The Other Masterclass is not just aimed at the students on stage, but at anyone who loves to perform or has an interest in working in theatre. Audiences should come armed with a notepad and questions to glean the tricks of the trade and insider knowledge from our West End professionals.
